Brief Performance Biography

Established in Perth as Le Jazz Hot in 1998, this stylish, professional jazz and swing duo quickly conquered the Perth market performing at many of the city's most prestigious venues and events including the 2000 and 2001 Hopman Cup, the Perth Sheraton Hotel, the Parmelia Hilton, the Perth Zoo April Jazz Festival, Telethon, numerous events at Whiteman Park, plus award winning restaurants such as Friends at the Hyatt, Dear Friends in Caversham and Oceanus, to name just a few.

In February of 2002 Le Jazz Hot were privileged to be selected as the support act to Daryl Braithwaite for a Wanneroo City Council open air concert! The girls have also been regular performers at the popular Walter's River Café and have been invited to perform at many festivals such as the City of Stirling and the City of Melville Jazz and Café Culture Festivals.

Aware of the need for versatility and change to sustain work in the Perth market and to further utilise the vocal competency of these two successful artists, Katy and Kylie, in 2002, introduced the new concept Ain't Misbehavin'. In contrast to Le Jazz Hot, Ain't Misbehavin' quickly incorporated an extensive repertoire of classic pop, rock and roll, musical theatre, country and Christmas. In addition, several floorshows were created by the girls and could be assembled to introduce other talented Perth actors, dancers and vocalists, ensuring that Katy and Kylie now had the complete package to offer all prospective clients.

Ain't Misbehavin' has seen great success in a relatively short time, in particular in dominating the corporate market. Performances include organisations such as Brambles, Watsonia, Atofina and regular performances with CPA Australia. Two of their recent highlights have included the challenges of entertaining clients on the Hotham Valley Express to Pinjarra and battling the winds and the high seas on The Leeuwin both for Uvex Safety Australia.

The girls are accomplished artists and together, with their combined talent and experience, bring a unique blend of style and entertainment to the stage that is not only enthusiastic but refreshing. You truly cannot go past this versatile and professional duo that is Le Jazz Hot and Ain't Misbehavin'.
